Welcome,
As the conference chair, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2011 Interactive Displays Conference taking place April 25-26, 2011 - this year in Sacramento, California.
I'm pleased to have the opportunity to help bring together the leaders of the global interactive community. The attendance draw for this year's event will be industry decision makers and innovators from developers, suppliers, to those tasked with blending interactive displays into customer facing experiences.
The 2011 conference builds on the traditions of previous events; designed to be a collaborative environment, providing the latest information, best practices, future trend theory and technical innovations in interactive displays. We'll cover a broad range of topics ranging from human-centric interaction, 3D technology, augmented reality, the potential of wireless electricity and e-ink innovation, as well as gesture based interactivity - just to name a few of the topics.
We'll share ideas about the future of interactive displays and discuss how devices like smart phones and other mobile input devises make cross-channel, personalized interactivity, an expectation of the new empowered digital consumer. We'll also share industry forecast and outlooks, and will have the opportunity to meet and discuss all of these ideas with our peers during several networking events throughout the conference.
The interactive display category continues to be an exciting space. I'm looking forward to being part of its future as we explore the latest innovations to expand the potential of the interactive displays of the future.
We have a great line up of speakers, including:
- Jun Kim, VP and GM Display Business Unit, Hewlett Packard
- Rafael "Tico" Ballagas, Senior Research Scientist, Nokia Research Center
- Blake Angelos, Tenori-On Product Specialist, Yamaha Corporation of America
- Luis Cabrera, Platform Manager, Microsoft Surface
- Dr. Thomas Seder, Lab Group Manager, Human Machine Interface Research, Vehicle Development Lab, General Motors Global R&D
I look forward to meeting you all in Sacramento in April. I hope you enjoy the event and join me in the conversation and insight sharing!
